Are you a passionate, Christ-centered leader with a heart for youth ministry and spiritual growth? Childrey Baptist Church is seeking a dedicated Youth Director to lead and nurture our youth ministry, guiding students to grow in their faith, build meaningful relationships, and develop a strong foundation in God’s Word.

 

Position Overview: The Youth Director will provide spiritual leadership and oversight for the church’s youth ministry, creating a welcoming, engaging, and discipleship-focused environment for students and their families. This role involves planning and leading youth activities, mentoring students, equipping volunteers, and partnering with church leadership to support the spiritual development of our youth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and organize youth ministry programming, including weekly gatherings, Bible studies, events, and special activities

• Build strong, Christ-centered relationships with youth and their families

• Teach and model Biblical truth in an age-appropriate and engaging way

• Recruit, train, and support volunteers and youth leaders

• Ensure safety policies and best practices are followed during all youth activities

• Manage the youth ministry budget and resources responsibly

• Collaborate with church staff and ministries to support the overall mission of the church

• Encourage youth involvement in worship, service, and discipleship opportunities

Qualifications:

• A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to Christian values

• Experience working with youth in a church or ministry setting

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

• Ability to teach Scripture clearly and relationally

• Comfortable using basic technology for communication and ministry coordination

• College degree or ministry training preferred, but not required

• A heart for mentoring and discipling young people
