OUR PASTOR

Jerry Stanfield is the head Pastor at Childrey Baptist Church. He is dedicated to preaching the Bible as it is for people as they are. He has a heart to serve others and reach people for Jesus Christ. Jerry is a native of Hampton, Virginia. He received a B.S. degree in History/Religion from Cumberland College, Williamsburg, Kentucky, and went on to obtain his Master's of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Forth Worth, Texas. Jerry had served as Pastor at several other churches in Virginia and in Mount Holly, North Carolina before becoming the head Pastor at Childrey Baptist Church in 2007.

OUR CHURCH

Childrey Baptist Church was founded in 1785 and has been serving the Brookneal/Nathalie area ever since. Our beautiful church grounds offer a great place to worship and learn. Our friendly church staff are always willing to help serve you. Childrey offers a variety of Sunday School classes for every age; from children all they way up through senior adults. Childrey offers strong ministry programs for you to be involved in such as: Women of Faith, Team Kid, Youth Group, Golden Years, G.A.s, and more! MODERN WORSHIP

Childrey Baptist Church offers a Modern Worship Service that begins at 8:30 am every Sunday Morning (unless there is combined service for special events such as Easter, Christmas, Homecoming, etc.) The modern service offers a more casual atmosphere and comtemporary worship music. There is also free breakfast with coffee, milk, water, or juice. It is a great place to worship and, because of it's early start time, it frees up the rest of your Sunday! So come and join us as we start each Sunday off with praise and worship to Him that deserves it! It's all about Jesus!
